Road Closure
Upcoming Temporary Road Closure in Windsor, Ontario
Perimeter Access Road
- As construction of the Canadian Port of Entry continues, Bridging North America will temporarily close single lane section of the PAR to tie in underground utilities and restore concrete pavement. Before placement of concrete pavement, the section of lane closed may be reopened for periods of time when work is not occurring. Following the concrete pour, the section closed will not reopen until the concrete has cured. On-street signage and barriers will be present to direct traffic. Note that the work will start on October 11, 2022, to November 8, 2022.
Canadian Port of Entry (POE)
- Continued the installation of controls rough ins and started the final roof on the Energy building.
- Underground utilities, slab on grade work, framing and block wall work continue for the Main Building as work begins on the roofing and installing of precast panels.
- Installation of interior plumbing, electrical, HVAC and fire suppression rough ins continue for the secondary
inspection building. - Installation of reinforcing steel, formwork and concrete placements for the pier foundations continues for the
Secondary Inspection Canopy. - Framing, block wall completion, interior plumbing, electrical, HVAC and fire suppression rough ins work continue for the Client Processing building.
- Structural steel erection continues for the primary inspection lane canopy.
- Underground utility work continues for the tolling building.
- MSE wall installation continues at the east gateway.
- The utilities group installed storm drainage piping at the toll canopy.
- Installation of underground wiring and duct banks in the west parking lot.
Canadian Bridge site
- Rebar pre-fab work continues on the upper cross beam.
- Edge girders were erected and the corbel and LUD plates were installed.
- The approach and back span activities are ongoing with cross beam rebar installation taking
place in the back span and formwork in the approach span.
