Construction Activities - Canada

Canadian Port of Entry (POE)

  • Work activities on the Energy building include the installation of hydronics, main switch and CoGen plant. The team also continued to pull cable for the electrical systems.
  • Installation continues for interior plumbing, electrical, HVAC, Controls, and fire suppression roughins for the
    Maintenance building. The team also worked on the roof.
  • The Main building team continued framing and block walls. The team also continued curtain wall work, interior plumbing, electrical, HVAC, controls and fire suppression rough in installation and large format wall installation.
  • The team completed the soffit framing on both the Primary Inspection Lane Canopy and the Secondary Inspection
    building and installed security mesh, boarding and taping on the Client Processing building.
  • Work continued on the reinforcing steel for the footings on the Primary Inspection Lane Pavilion, cast-in-place (CIP) concrete reinforcing steel and formwork and concrete on the Large-Scale Imaging building. Work was completed on the Tolling building's block walls and stud framing.
  • Steel erection and detailing continued on the Tolling and the Hazmat Canopies.
  • The piling operations progressed as well as the Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) blocks on the Utility Corridor.
  • Utility work activities included the continuation of storm drainage pipe, cast-in-place (CIP) concrete retaining wall for the east and west ponds and salt barn utility installation. The team also continued installation of distribution, communications, security and MV loop duct banks throughout site.

Canadian Bridge site

  • Rebar stitch pours are ongoing and rebar work continues.
  • Installation on the deck continues.
  • Approach and back span activities are ongoing.
  • Stay cable installation work continues.
