EMERGENCY DETOUR ALERT: Bridging North America (BNA) has implemented a new detour on Woodmere Street in response to the emergency closure of the Fort Street and Dearborn Street intersection. Northbound motorists heading toward Springwells Street northbound will be detoured to Fort Street eastbound/Melville Street eastbound, south on Green Street southbound, west on Jefferson Avenue westbound, north on Dearborn Street northbound, north on Woodmere Street, east on Vernor Highway eastbound, and then Springwells Street.

Fort Street

• The existing mobile closure on Fort Street between Springwells Street and Clark Street will remain in place until June 30, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily as needed.
• The existing parking lane closure on westbound Fort Street between Dragoon Street and Military Street will remain in place until further notice.

Jefferson Avenue

• The existing traffic shift on eastbound Jefferson Avenue to westbound Jefferson Avenue will remain in place until June 19, 2023, for curb reconstruction work.

Green Street

• The existing closure on Green Street between Fort Street and southbound I-75 Service Drive will remain in place until further notice.

Junction Street

• The existing lane closures on northbound and southbound Junction Street between Fort Street and the northbound I-75 Service Drive will be extended until further notice from 9 a.m. to 3 pm. daily as needed.
• Two-way traffic will be maintained for Junction Street between Fort Street and the northbound I-75 Service Drive until further notice from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily as needed.
• The lane closures will not impact trash pick-up, mail delivery or access to businesses, residences, garages or driveways. Parking will not be available on northbound and southbound Junction Street between Fort Street and the northbound I-75 Service Drive until further notice from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily as needed.

Livernois Avenue

• All lanes of Livernois Avenue will close between the Norfolk Southern Railroad Tracks and Fort Street from February 23 - June 26, 2023.

West End Street

• Southbound and northbound I-75 Service Drives will remain closed between Wheelock Street and Springwells Street until June 30, 2023.

South Harrington Street

• On April 12, 2023, South Harrington Street will close over a long-term period between Jefferson Avenue and Gould Street.

I-75 Northbound

• The Livernois exit-ramp at Northbound I-75 will close over a long-term period.

I-75 Southbound

• The right shoulder and right lane will close on northbound I-75 from Springwells Street to Clark Street from September 26, 2022 – December 18, 2023.
• The right shoulder and right lane will close on southbound I-75 from Bagley Avenue to Springwells Street from October 3, 2022 – December 18, 2023.

I-75 - NEW

• The left lane of northbound I-75 Service Drive will close between Wilde Street and Rademacher Street from January 9 – May 31, 2023.
• All lanes of northbound I-75 Service Drive will close between Wilde Street and Rademacher Street from January 9 – May 31, 2023, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily as needed.
• The right shoulder of the I-75 on-ramp will remain closed between Springwells Street and southbound I-75 until further notice.
• The existing mobile closures along northbound and southbound I-75 between Schaefer Avenue and Michigan Avenue will remain in place until further notice, from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily as needed.
• The two right lanes of northbound I-75 will close between Springwells Street and Campbell Street from May 8 - 9, 2023.
• The two right lanes of southbound I-75 will close between Military Street and Clark Street from May 9 - 10, 2023.
• The two left lanes of northbound and southbound I-75 will close between Springwells Street and Clark Street from May 10 - 12, 2023.

I-75 Service Drive

• The left lane of southound I-75 Service Drive will close between Green Street and Lewerenz Street from March 6 - July 31, 2023. This is a recurring closure that will only be in place when necessary.
• All lanes of southbound I-75 Service Drive will close between Green Street and Lewerenz Street from March 9 - July 31, 2023, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily as needed.
• Existing mobile closures on the northbound and southbound I-75 Service Drives between Clark Street and Green Street, and Springwells and Central Street will remain in place until further notice. Closures will be in place from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily as needed. Only one lane will close. Closures will be less than 30 minutes in duration during these timeframes for mobilization and demobilization of equipment activities.
• Northbound and southbound I-75 Service Drive will close over a long-term period between Green Street and Waterman Street. Combined with pre-existing Service Drive closures in the area will make the entire northbound and southbound Service Drive closed from Springwells Street to Clark Street.
• The left lane on southbound I-75 Service Drive will close between southbound I-75 and the Clark Street off-ramp to Hubbard Street from January 23 - June 30, 2023.
• The left lane on southbound I-75 Service Drive will close between Clark Street and the southbound I-75 off-ramp from January 23 - June 30, 2023.
• The left lane of southbound I-75 Service Drive will remain closed between Witt Street and Govin Street until further notice.

The following road closures are in place:

• Waterman Street between northbound and southbound I-75 Service Drive
• Dragoon Street between Fort Street and the southbound I-75 Service Drive
• Green Street between Fort Street and the southbound I-75 Service Drive
• The existing closures on northbound and southbound I-75 Service Drives between Dragoon Street and Clark Street will remain in place until June 30, 2023, to support ongoing siphon construction.
• The existing closure on northbound I-75 Service Drive between Rademacher Street and Dragoon Street will
• remain in place until June 30, 2023, to complete the realignment and reconstruction of the northbound I-75 Service Drive.
• The existing southbound I-75 Service Drive closure between Waterman Street and Dragoon Street will remain in place until June 30, 2023, to complete the realignment and reconstruction of the northbound and southbound I-75 Service Drives.

Long Term I-75 Closures

As construction of the Michigan Interchange and the US Port of Entry (POE) continues, Bridging North America will extend the temporary closures along Livernois Avenue. Additionally, Cavalry Street and Military Street will remain closed over a long-term period. As a reminder, in July 2020, several streets closed over a long-term period including sections of Dragoon Street, Driggs Street, Harvey Street, Reeder Street and Hussar Street.

Junction Street

• Junction Street bridge between the northbound and southbound I-75 Service Drives will close over a long-term period.

Springwells Court

• Springwells Court northbound and southbound is closed west of the Lafarge entrance to east of the Springwells Court detour from May 15, 2021 until November 23, 2024.

Cavalry Street

• Cavalry Street will remain closed between the northbound I-75 Service Drive and Fort Street.

Military Street

• Military Street will remain closed between the northbound I-75 Service Drive and Fort Street.

Post Street

• Post Street remains closed over a long-term period between CSX Railroad and the Delray Mechanical entrance.

Campbell Street

• The existing long-term closure on Campbell Street between West Jefferson Avenue and Fort Street will remain in place until May 31, 2023.

Construction Activities

US Port of Entry (POE)

• Earthwork/Utilities: Installation continued for underground wet and dry utilities.
• Commercial Building: Installation continued of light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, gas piping, computer room air conditioning (CRAC) units and in-wall piping. The team also pulled wire and applied slab sealants.
• Main Building: Installation continued of metal composite material (MCM) panels, overhead conduits, panel board, branch wire, computer room air conditioning (CRAC) units, control wire and fire caulking. Continued rough-in of sprinkler pipes and in-wall conduits. Installed Z-girts and insulation.
• Pedestrian Building: Installed exterior sheathing, hangers and ducts, overhead conduits and cable trays.

US Bridge site

• Cap construction continued at anchor pier.
• Rebar installation ongoing for tower upper pylon construction.
• Installation of main span segment panels continued.
• Stay cable installation work continues.
• Approach and back span activities are ongoing.

Michigan Interchange

• Structures: Form, rebar and pour pier cap and column work continued.
• Roadways: Curb fine grade work continued for Green Street and Jefferson Avenue reconstruction.
• Noise walls: Set panels at Solvay Street pedestrian bridge.
• Siphons: Installed stop log guide at Cavalry Street.
• Civil: Set mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls panels and installed straps and backfill for ramp bridges
