Road Closure

Sandwich Street

• Southbound Sandwich Street between the Essex Terminal Railway (ETR) tracks and Chappell Avenue anticipated to close September 5, 2023, for 14 weeks. One lane of northbound traffic will remain in place. During this closure, businesses located on this section of Sandwich Street will be accessible via northbound Sandwich Street only.

Canadian Port of Entry (POE)

• Construction activities remain ongoing for interior and exterior components of the buildings and structures
• This week, activities include installation of exterior bent plates, roof work, structural steel erection, installation of topsoil and planting, slab on grade concrete pours and fencing work.

Canadian Bridge site

• Cap construction continued at anchor pier.
• Tower upper pylon construction continues.
• Installation of main span segment panels continued.
• Stay cable installation work continues.
• Approach and back span activities are ongoing.
