Construction Activities - Canada

Canadian Port of Entry (POE)

• Construction activities remain ongoing for interior and exterior components of the buildings and structures.
• This month, activities focus on the ​construction of toll booths and paving including sidewalks and the multi-use path. Remaining landscaping activities will continue in spring.

Canadian Bridge site

• The Canadian bridge tower has reached its full height of 220 metres/722 feet.
• The two sides of the bridge deck are now connected over the Detroit River. 
• All stay cables have been installed. Post tensioning of the stay cables is currently underway.
• Approach and back span activities are ongoing.
• Ongoing activities include the installation of fencing, signage, lighting and systems such as fire suppression and drainage.
