On December 17, 2015, federal Infrastructure Minister Sohi visited Windsor and Detroit to learn more about the Gordie Howe International Bridge project. As part of his visit Minister Sohi stopped to tour the future site of the Canada Port of Entry where he had the opportunity to see first-hand the Early Works currently underway by local contractor Amico Affiliates. As part of his stop, he got to cut one of the 45,000 wicks that are being installed and place fill on top as one of the last steps in the wick drain installation process.
