Members of the media are invited to a special ceremony marking the opening of the Gordie Howe International Bridge with the Honourable Gregor Robertson, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure and Minister responsible for Pacific Economic Development Canada.

Media must arrive by 9:30 a.m. Check-in and transportation to the event location will take approximately 20 minutes. Media will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Registration is required and is available now until Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 5 p.m.
- All media must be pre-cleared by the border agency prior to the event.
- The registration form requires border-crossing documentation to be submitted.
- Completion of the online registration form does not guarantee participation.
- Following the pre-clearance process, Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority will provide confirmation of participants’ ability to attend and further event details including parking, check-in process, and logistics.
- No substitutions, on-site or late registrations are permitted.
- Only two (2) representatives from each newsroom are permitted.
