Region’s companies and organizations connect with P3 proponents

On November 30 and December 1, 2016, more than 500 individuals representing hundreds of the region’s businesses, took advantage of a unique networking opportunity to meet face-to-face with the eventual constructors and operators of the Gordie Howe International Bridge project.

The Business-to-Business meetings allowed local contractors, suppliers and service providers to network and build potential business relationships with members of the Proponent teams. It is anticipated that many local resources will be used to deliver the project. In addition to materials and services required and the jobs created during the construction phase, the new bridge will result in many permanent jobs and business opportunities for the future operation of the crossing. Throughout the P3 procurement process, WDBA is encouraging the Proponents to engage local resources.
