Statement by Dwight Duncan, Interim Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA).
Windsor, Ontario, January 20, 2016 – “The Board of Directors of the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA) welcomes today’s announcement of the three Short-listed Respondents for the Gordie Howe International Bridge project.
“The Short-Listed Respondents represent the best in diverse international and local businesses and we look forward to the innovation, approaches and techniques these teams will bring to the table in response to the Request for Proposals.
“The evaluation process developed by WDBA was based on best practices. It was thorough, rigorous and transparent and overseen by an independent Fairness Monitor.
“WDBA management and staff are to be congratulated for their efforts in bringing the Gordie Howe International Bridge one step closer to start of construction.”
