TIMING: 2020-2025

PARTNER: Local Community Organizations Determined Annually

The Neighbourhood Infrastructure Strategy of the Community Benefits Plan includes a commitment to provide a $150,000 (CDN) annual investment allowance for community organizations located in or serving Sandwich/west Windsor or Delray/Southwest Detroit residents for a six-year duration from 2020 – 2025. Following consultation with community partners, the project team increased the annual investment to $300,000 (CDN) for the 2025 funding cycle, with each community receiving $150,000 in funding.

Through the Community Organization Investment initiative, eligible organizations can submit applications for funding on an annual basis for proposed initiatives ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 (CDN) for events, programming and infrastructure improvements that will benefit the Sandwich/west Windsor or Delray/Southwest Detroit neighbourhoods.
