If damage has occurred to your property or vehicle for which you feel the Gordie Howe International Bridge project is responsible, you may submit a claim.
To file a damage claim:
- Download Damage Claim Form | Español
- Complete the form electronically or in hard-copy
- Attach supporting documentation
- Return form and documentation to WDBA at info [at] wdbridge.com or by mail to Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority, Attention: Stakeholder Relations, 100 Ouellette Avenue, Suite 400, Windsor, Ontario, Canada N9A 6T3. You can also drop your submission off at one of the Community offices located at 3201 Sandwich Street in Windsor or 7744 West Vernor Highway in Detroit. Pls check the website for current office hours.
Please submit your claim within 15 days of the damage occurring. Once a claim is received, Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority will acknowledge your claim within one business day and forward to the appropriate project party for detailed review and assessment. Supporting documentation may include pictures, estimates and any receipts that may assist in assessing your claim.
Note: Submitting a claim does not imply that you will receive compensation. Your claim will be thoroughly reviewed and a response will be provided in accordance with this assessment.
