This season, WDBA added 13 co-op students to its roster. The University of Windsor and St. Clair College students are loaded with big talent and come from several different faculties including engineering, human resources, marketing & communications, and finance. The WDBA Co-op Program was launched in January, 2016 and provides post-secondary students with valuable work experience and professional development opportunities. To date, 77 students have taken part in the program.

Abdallah Shaat, Project Scheduler Co-op. Fourth year Civil Engineering student at the University of Windsor. Favourite Sports Team: Liverpool FC. Favourite Actor: Leonardo DiCaprio. Braeden Seifarth, Finance Co-Op. Thirs year business student at the Unviersity of Windsor. Favourite Movie: Shawshank Redemption. Favourite Actor: Morgan Freeman. Quote: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" - Margaret Wolfe Hunderfold. Fun Fact: Braeden loves to watch sports with friends.

Christa Vadori, Special Examination Co-Op. Fourth year Business student at the University of Windsor. Loves: TV Show: The Mindy Project. Food: Pasta Quote: "If you want to be happy, be" - Tolstoy. Fun Fact: Fulfilled a bucket list item by going to Ottawa for Canada Day this past summer.

Generation X Icon Douglas Coupland Selected for Aesthetic Bridge Lighting Commission

While many know him as the man who named a generation, Douglas Coupland will soon add bridge lighting artist to his lengthy list of accomplishments. Following an artist selection process during summer 2024, Mr. Coupland was announced as the successful candidate who will create a dynamic and striking lighting concept that will grace the Gordie Howe International Bridge. 

Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority wins premier award for tower completion communications

Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA) has won a Silver Leaf Award of Merit for its “Completing Tower Construction for the Gordie Howe International Bridge” video. The award, presented by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Canada, celebrates excellence in business communication. 

Shrubs, Grasses and Herbaceous plants on new Michigan Interchange Road Bridges

This fall, crews are planting shrubs, grasses and herbaceous plants on the four road bridges built over Interstate-75. The road bridges are located at Green Street, Clark Street, Springwells Street and Livernois Avenue.
