Gov. Rick Snyder’s statement on pedestrians and cyclists being able to use the Gordie Howe International Bridge
LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder today issued the following statement after the announcement that pedestrians and cyclists will be able to use the Gordie Howe International Bridge.
"Pedestrians and cyclists being able to use the Gordie Howe International Bridge is wonderful news.” said Michigan Governor Rick Snyder. “Outdoor enthusiasts throughout our region will be able to experience a unique recreational opportunity as they cross the Detroit River. Today's announcement underscores the fact that this new bridge will provide many benefits for Michiganders and our neighbors in Canada. As always, Michigan is fortunate to have a strong partner in Canada as we work together on the delivery of this once-in-a-lifetime project."
